The Life Of Ponty Cyclops

Bye bye sunshine ... hello incessant rain again!

I've been working in the other office room today, so very few opportunities to take photos today. At around four o clock I just decided to point the long lens out the garden, and the first bird that landed and posed prettily would do. I'm rather pleased with this slightly scruffy moulting female blackbird.

I've been watching the juvenile Magpies over the past 15 minutes whist editing this photo and yesterdays back blip from Newport Wetlands. They really are intelligent birds. Both youngsters have learnt copy mum and dad now, and "leap up" to get fat cake out of the feeder. They couldn't do that week ago.
