The Beginnings of Courtship

Three grebes on Nanpantan Reservoir. Two female, one male. The females are chasing/trying to seduce the male.

The slightly larger female seems to be in the ascendancy. I have shots of her chasing the other female off, especially when the male begins to look interested.

The alpha female is making clicking noises with which to attract his attention.

Lovely pastel colours of the winter sky reflected in the water although not obvious in this scene.

I've finished most of the Gothla website. Just one more task now, which will take me a couple of hours. Then a thorough check before going live next Tuesday.
