Gently down the stream

Old Winchester Hill

Today I went out for a long lunch with my sis at the pub we failed to get into at the end of December (The Bakers Arms) at Droxford.  We agreed it's definitely a place to go back to, even if we did come out in a sudden hailstorm.  After which we drove 10 minutes up the road in brilliant sunshine to Old Winchester Hill, an Iron Age hillfort in a stunning setting.  Muddy though.  From here you can see all the way to the sea  and across to the Isle of Wight.  The air was very clear, except where belting it down, and there was lots of blue sky, white clouds,  black clouds.  The sheep has similar grey and white coats.  No blue, luckily, though some had red paint on their faces  ;)

I'm going to do as much commenting as I can now because tonight is choir.  Tomorrow may be a London day - my last possible for quite a while - but any gaps will hopefully be filled tomorrow night.

Enjoy your evening  xx
