Red phone box in the grey

I spotted this blipportunity as we were paying our bill at the inn this morning. Then it was straight back to Edinburgh for a manic day of chasing deadlines. I managed to meet all that were absolutely necessary in time to earn a night off with my book group chums.

We discussed The book collector by Alice Thompson. I read it on holiday a couple of weeks ago. The majority view was that it wasn't terribly good. However ArcLight quite liked it.

In other news a video of my PhD student Frances performing academic stand-up comedy went live today. She is quite a natural on stage. Do take a peek. I think that you will enjoy what she has to say.
