THE WHITE EGRET FLYING

A more sombre day than yesterday, although it was not raining.
In the morning I read my books and collected again beech leaves.
Every day a bit is my parole.
After lunch Piet Hein and I walked along the Weser, towards Würgassen.
We'll walk to the ship, we sometimes say to each other. There is a warning sign of a ship to indicate that there will be a ferry for persons at the village.
The white egret is shy, and flies away all the time he/she notices danger, be it humans or dogs, or both.

My haiku:

The river is mine
I find my food under water
As long as I live

And the proverb:

Wealth is best known by want.

1631  Dekker,  Penny-wise, Pound-foolish.
