Happy Easter

It was pouring this morning so all those Easter egg hunts had to move indoors. Arvin and I headed out to meet my brothers Dave and Steve, and ladies Nora and Kai, for brunch at a new restaurant in Bellingham called "Eat." We loved it. The food was great. The atmosphere was friendly and had a nice warm electric buzz to it. The only possible complaint is that it was quite noisy. But it was a happy friendly noise so we weren't bothered. So we ate delicious food, talked and laughed, talked to our neighbors who had charming little kids, and had a lovely Easter morning. We would all return to "Eat" in a heartbeat. Dave asked to see the dinner menu because he was so impressed. And it wasn't outrageously expensive either.

We all headed off in our own directions after brunch. Arv is taking a nap and the two of us are going to see "Hello. My name is Doris." at the Pickford this afternoon. After our busy day yesterday, a quiet day today is a welcome blessing. Life is good.

Best wishes to you all whether you celebrate Easter or not. Here's to a happy family day.

Well the movie was full when we got there. So we watched a children's film instead and am I glad we did. It was wonderful. It was a documentary about a young family that lived nine months in a cabin in the Yucon. The wife did most of the filming. There was nobody else but the family there. Arvin and I both loved the movie, "All the Time in the World."
