Platres

Got my much-looked-forward-to trip to Platres today, but not a meze! Yet. Decided to do something different and eat in the cafe in my blip - as it had nice views being on the top deck.

I am so glad we went up to the mountains, despite a local telling us it would be packed as everyone would be heading there. It wasn't, and as we arrived before lunch, we had our pick of things! Even the shops were quiet.

We popped into a lace store and then a specialist chocolate shop where the very knowledgeable lady told us all about the history and benefit of chocolate! We bought some after sampling the product she reckons is definitely good for ones' health!  G and I have got ten days supply each @ two squares a day...

We then called our friend Rozalia who lives near here to check if she was free. SHE WAS! It's a public holiday so she was having a relaxed day at home with her sister... The whole place is so beautiful with pine trees as well as blossom... I've tried to capture the day here. It was cold though, so I was glad to get back down to sea-level and to Larnaca.

I think I could take part in a lot more of the challenges if I lived here! Flower Friday, Derelict Sunday, Abstract Thursday, Wild Wednesday too now... :D
