Lavender by the pool

An English Woman Abroad

Of course, language might be a problem.
But I did Spanish for 6 months…

Poco a poco.  Or was that music?

Carboneras for lunch.
The town, not the pasta.
Carbonara.
Tapas.    Can’t go wrong with that, those.
How many?  Three each?  Combién?
Espanyol nicht sehr gut…

Is that really octopus?  All those little suction pads?
Squid?  Rubber?  Jamón, Huevas?  Lomo a Plancha?
Aaahhhhh….  Hamburger, Chorizo, Fritas, Paella complete with shells.

Un poco Lluvia?
Si un poco.

Una Día a partir de lavanda, and afternoon in the pool.
No es un pulpo!

It’s an English Woman abroad.

The day started with watching Young Sam in a hamster ball by the pool then on to crazy golf. That's where I spotted the lavender...

Needed to try to upload a shot early as the wifi slows so much here later on in the day.

It was threatening rain so after coffee we went off down the coast to Carboneras for lunch and an occasion for my poem for today. This is an area where English is not widely spoken and menus are not translated often. It's lovely and leads us into situations of surprise and delight...

I hope you can feel this in my poem.
