Clouds...

We left the house this morning at 4 a.m. so as to make it through & past Chicago before the morning rush hour. Once we were past it and heading East across the Indiana border, we got off the expressway and took hwy. 41, which runs through the entire state of Indiana, as well as a good portion of Kentucky, & maybe even Tennessee, although I haven't looked that far ahead yet. We much prefer taking scenic routes to zooming stressfully along on the expressways! The day started off with a beautiful sunrise from the East, and the clouds, looking West, were just beautiful, so that's what I've used as my blip for today. Once we'd driven for about an hour & were out of the city, the whole thing was a really beautiful drive! Over the course of about 9 hours I saw 5 hawks, some deer, & a wolf!! The best part was as we reached the southern end of Indiana; many of the trees were just starting to bloom, & as we entered the gorgeous rolling hills of Kentucky we were treated to such a show of beautiful blossoms covering the trees--yellow, white, light pink, fuschia--each area prettier than the last! And, slowly but surely, the outside temperature readings went from 34....to 40....to 54...to 64!! Warmth!!!
