Nearly Home

That's where I took this photo with my iPhone -- at King Street Amtrak Station in Seattle this evening, where the train we boarded in Portland just before 3 p.m. stopped for 20 minutes to take on more passengers and supplies for the train's bistro car.

Bellingham seemed deserted as we drove home from the train station shortly after 9 p.m. The Pacific Chorus Frogs are still singing with zest in the seasonal wetland behind our house, we've looked through all the mail that came while we were enjoying ourselves in Portland, and I've made a short "to do" list for Thursday.

Time for bed!
