Heading for the 18th.

Bright sun first thing gave way to cloud by the time we were walking out St Ives Circuit. As usual the walk takes us around the top of the golf course here and then traverses it near to the first and eighteenth hole by the club house.

This morning I spotted two Canada geese walking purposefully towards the last green. Most of the golfers were just starting out at the first tee so probably wouldn't notice them.

The building beyond is the St Ives Mansion which was the clubhouse some years ago (41) when we had our wedding reception. When a new clubhouse was built it became a home for young disabled but it has been just announced that it is to close. What will happen to the building remains to be seen, presumably the inhabitants will be re homed.

At the pond there were two pairs of Tufted ducks we hadn't seen before. They dive for their food so seemed a bit perplexed at the two of us throwing duck food for them.

Just waiting now to pick up our cat. She has gone for a tooth removing as she has had an abcess. I was glad to get out and walk as she wasn't allowed any food this morning and was looking and making very pathetic miaowing noises.
