A Pair of Bullfinches

Our bullfinches have returned to the feeder in our garden. Here you see both male and female with the female gorging herself no doubt to build up strength for her egg laying and sitting session, magpies permitting.

We don't see the bullfinches often, so this was a rare opportunity. We've had several generations visit.

The shot was taken with a long lens through a window, which is why it looks fuzzy, late this afternoon.

To Leicester today where Len and George went to watch the Leicester City game. So relieved that Leicester managed to draw with the final shot of the game, but no way should Jamie Vardy have been sent off.

Kat and I went shopping in Highcross leaving Basil to guard the house in the company of the cats. He was not very pleased with us when we returned.

I'm not sure whether the ointment I've got for my conjunctivitis is working. The eye looks redder than ever and I have a continual stinging sensation, although that could be a side effect of the ointment. Will see somebody about it tomorrow morning.
