Happy birthday Ma'am.

We headed south again today to Budleigh Salterton in East Devon to visit friends. We have been going on and off for the 15 years that they have lived here since retiring from Bradford.

My ex colleague and friend Heather has been unwell so it was great to see her again and doing well with her treatment.

Lots of catching up chat and lunch followed by a walk along the shore to the Longboat cafe for a cup of tea. This a lovely little blue and white café right on the edge of the beach by a row of beach huts. Today it was decorated with red white and blue flags and these lovely flower arrangements in the window in honour of out Queen's 90th birthday today. It was the only such decoration in the town unlike the street decorations we saw on Tuesday in Tewkesbury.
