Arrival...

As the flights came in everyone had some lunch and then got into their lycra and ready to go off for a short cycle.  It helped us to check whether we had everyone in the right groups and there was obviously time for wine late afternoon before dinner.

Alas not for me... I collected Kirk, our cinematographer from Perfect View Productions who we invited along to take some film of the trip.  We decided the smart thing to do would be to take a drive up Sa Calobra to do a bit of a recce of the route before the ride on Saturday.  It was good to just see how the road was and whether there were places to stop/turn round as the plan is to try and film some footage from the boot of the car.  We didn't make it right to the top but made a bit of a plan to go up there for sunrise on Saturday morning so we could see the rest of the route. No rest for the wicked!

Back to the hotel in time for a quick shower (and a swim in Kirk's case - I draw the line there... there are some things your colleagues just don't need to see!!) and then off out to a little restaurant further down from the hotel for dinner.  Everyone was on good form... I don't imagine there's much not to like really, the food was amazing, the wine flowed and the chat was good.

Back to the hotel for a bit of an early night - well ish - I appear to be first up and last in bed making sure everyone has everything they need. There's always time for a quick nightcap though!
