Tiny Tuesday: Green Bug

I have no idea what this is even after pulling out my insect books both of which are 400-500 pages long so I hope one of the experts here on blip will enlighten me.

I was going to take the easy route and go for a bee on the azaleas, but it turned out not to be so easy.  The best shot I got was before I realized I had no SD card in.  ;-(  After putting it in, good shots eluded me until this tiny green bug landed on one of the azalea branches.  It is very small, probably no more than 1/2 inch (1 cm) in length.  It might look like it is oversharpened, but it actually has that ridge that goes from its face down the chest (very scientific terminology) and it isn't a halo.
