Ambrose Dudley, Earl of Warwick

JDO for history!

This tomb in the Beauchamp Chapel in St Mary's Warwick was quite spectacular.  I loved the way the light was coming through the windows and enhancing the beautiful colours.  JDO has done a great job of detailing the history of the Dudley family so I've put the link above.  I hope she doesn't mind...

We did share a tremendous jelly legs experience today climbing the steps to the top of the Tower for the view - it was worth it looking back though it didn't feel like it at the time.  SDG came in for a bit of stick taking us up there but we are willing to forgive him because he organised such a great list of places for us to go to on the Warwick Blipmeet.  A big thank you to everyone for coming!

In extras you will find a collage of the bears at the Lord Leycester Hospital - we were allowed in free provided we send them some of our images - one of "The main men" at the hospital told us that he had this idea of creating a postcard from the little bears (The symbol of Warwickshire) on a postcard that he could sell so I thought I'd have a go at that.

The other extra is of a momentous event in our house - SHH worked at a particular car factory for all his working life and he finally made the decision recently to buy one of the company products.  He took delivery today so we've had a very busy but immensely enjoyable day...

We all went to Warwick to blip
We walked up the stairs, "Oh flip!"
Our legs turned to mush
Our faces did flush
As we struggled so hard not to slip!
