Figgate Park

What a fabulous place for a little collie to go splish, splash sploshing!

Ann, my very lovely owner, lived in Edinburgh for more than 25 years and she’d never, ever,  heard of 'Figgate Park' until Flumgummery mentioned it.  Obviously it had to be ‘googled’ and visited.  Fantastic place for a walk.

Update on the ‘Big Edinburgh Flat Refurbishment’…………..

Contractor No.2 (recommended by very lovely architect) phoned us while we were faffing around in Figgate Park.  He’s coming to see us tomorrow at 9am, complete with itemised quotes and a programme of work.  Well impressed that he phoned us on a Sunday morning but when Ann asked if he could give us a ‘ballpark figure’, he said he’d prefer to sit down and discuss things with us?????  Not sure if that’s good or bad?

If his quote is bigger than contractor No.1, bigger than ‘cowboy builders’, bigger than the independent quotes for rewiring/new kitchens/new bathrooms etc………… haven’t a clue what we’ll do???

In the space of a few months our budget for this project has almost doubled…………..
