Bad to the Bone

Let me tell you about these three.

You will remember Buddy on the left, my brother's Clayton dog.  You know, the dog you have when you don't have a dog.  My brother was minding Hamish and Poppy for me over the weekend.  On Saturday he took them down to the dog beach.  Poppy ate a fisherman's pilchard bait while also frightening his daughter who is afraid of dogs.  Why you bring a child afraid of dogs to a dog beach to fish is beyond me.  Hamish didn't want to come home and was being difficult.  Thinking he would avoid a similar scene on Sunday, he took them to a local oval where a soccer match was in play. While he was doing his duty as a responsible dog owner and picking up, Poppy and Buddy ran off and ran around the players and field.  Not to mention the fact that Poppy absolutely adores Buddy and won't leave him alone.  For a bit of relaxation, he decided that he would go for a fish on Stockton beach.  The dogs could run free and he wouldn't have to worry about soccer players or children frightened of dogs.  Well Poppy jumped up and grabbed a lure out of his hand getting caught in her mouth.  He was mortified and thought he might have to take her to the vet but miraculously got the lure out without any damage.  Well except to him because it got caught in his finger.  Well now he had a sore finger and the icing on the cake was Hamish trying to get a fish he had released.  They were all thrown into his car but somehow the pleasure of fishing had left him.  He was rather frazzled when he picked me up at the airport.

This morning butter wouldn't melt in their mouths.  Well Poppy did chew on a porcelain jam dish I have chewing an ear off.  She is now killing an empty icecream container.  Oh and she is six months now.

Edit:  I nearly forgot.  Tiny Tuesday again tomorrow.  Entries to be tagged TT50, Tiny Tuesday 50.  Looking forward to seeing this weeks entries.  Results up on Friday.
