I told S I'd replace the wire that I left on the crag yesterday... oops!  I just couldn't get it out of the limestone crack it was nestling in, it was loose but I couldn't find the right position to lift it out... then it moved a little and jammed completely.  I must have spent a good 20 minutes trying to shift it, at times resting on the rope to save me from leg shake, but no go.
