A view from Jeanneb

Another blipper's husband!

Had a great walk today in the lovely Yorkshire countryside above Silsden. It was a perfect treatment for post holiday blues and missing the highlands.

This is Corinthian Column and her husband R who organised it. Thank you both.
There were 5 of us in total, 3 blippers (me, Corinthian  and Wendles56  - full of interesting post photography course tips), Corinthian's husband R and another blipper's husband not ours!  It was J, Yorkshirebred's husband.

A great pull above the Aire Valley brought us to Windgate Nick high above Addingham in the Wharfe Valley. It is the site of a memorial to two aircraftmen who died here in WW 2 when they crashed their dehaviland aircraft.    C and R are enjoying the view. You can see as far as Simon's Seat with Bolton Abbey just visible below it.

We returned via the Doubler Stones which I have never heard of before, fascinating wind sculpted stones similar to Brimaham Rocks. You can see one with that other blipper's husband in the extra above the Aire Valley.
