Water Bird

It's not especially hot today but this female cardinal was extremely attracted to the yellow water dish.  She did a lot of sipping, dipping and splashing.  The camera itself was level but the angle at which I shoot this dish is awkward...off to the right on the side wall.  They always turn out looking crooked.  Most of the time I straighten them up a bit.

I put up two extras.  One shows her splashing around and having a grand time.  In the second, she's sharing the dish with a house finch.  Nothing was going to scare either one of them away!

I have been having extreme pain in my left ear, jaw and neck since at least the beginning of March.  Since that time I have been to the Urgent Care Center, my primary physician, the dentist and an endontist.  I finally  I got in to see my ENT yesterday.  He thinks I have TMJ. It might be related to the damage I did to my skull when I fell. You can see in this recent blip how my jaw is misaligned.

Now I have to go to  an orofacial specialist.  None accept my insurance.   I already see the recommended guy at least once a year for something sleep related.  The earliest appointment I could get with them is June 2. Ugh!
