St Mary the Virgin

This is the church of St Mary the Virgin, Elland, which  is my entry for the WidWed challenge, our theme this week being "light & shade", but as you can see I haven't managed to achieve either.  This morning we had light rain which looked as if it was set in all day, and during the afternoon I spent time with friends indoors and although the weather by then was brighter,  I didn't get the opportunity for another shot.
