In the garden

Sad news at the home, for a few months a resident called Simon has been having lunch with Mum and Norman in the dining room, they always sit in the same seats, he had had a stroke and was in a wheelchair and was only about 60. I only waved to him a few days ago as I passed the tv lounge... He passed away in his sleep on Wednesday... I took Mum out into the garden and Norman was there, he is 93, no legs and a Quaker, he spoke about Simon at some length....
He has raised flower beds at the home and is growing all sorts of herbs, veg and flowers, he demonstrated how he opens and closes his shed and showed us what is in there on a table his brother in law made for him.
He is an inspiration.

In other news 4 women were stabbed in a random attack at our local Sainsburys today!
