Sunny deck

My blip shows seats on the upper deck of MV Loch Seaforth, the Calmac ferry that carried us from Stornoway to Ullapool this afternoon. As can be seen from this shot, it was another beautiful sunny day in the far north west.

We arrived at the ferry terminal by bike. It took us 3 hours 20 minutes to reach Stornoway from Timsgarry this morning. In the hour before we boarded the boat we met scottishrichard for a quick lunch at An Lanntair.

The further south we drove from Ullapool, the worse the weather. It was pouring in Edinburgh when we unpacked the car at the end of our journey. Here's hoping that we rediscover the sunshine at our next destination: the south of England for the weekend.

Exercise today: 35 mile tandem ride from Timsgarry to Stornoway (with two sightings of deer on the way).
