Beaver

We were supposed to go with friends to the Lummi Island Art Studio Tour. There was even room for all of us in one car. But Arvin's back was really hurting him so I decided we'd better go see a doctor to be sure nothing was broken. So we went to the Urgent Care office of our group of doctors. Luckily it was very quiet there. This was most likely due to the fact that today was the Ski to Sea race and everybody was either racing, watching, or avoiding the crowds (like us.) So we saw the doctor fast. He was really nice and after careful prodding he came to the conclusion that no bones were broken and most likely bruised muscles were the answer. So he subscribed a low dose of narcotic pain killers and actually it helped a lot.

Arvin and I got home and both took naps. I suggested he take a rest. I sat on the couch and soon was fast asleep myself. When we woke neither of us wanted to hang around the house so we drove up to Semiahmoo to walk and see birds. The weather had warmed and brightened after a cold cloudy morning, so we walked and enjoyed a snack before heading home again.

After dinner we took one last walk in the park seeking the beaver, and were rewarded for our patience. It was a good day after all.
