Mystery Tour (cont)

Where was I? Ah yes, 2am and on a bus heading to a farm in Perthshire. Along a track, and past a floodlit farmhouse building surrounded by fortifications. For it was the opening night of The 306: Dawn, from the National Theatre. A bit of musical theatre telling the stories of three of the 306 soldiers executed for cowardice and desertion in WW1. And the end (spoiler alert: not happy) was timed to coincide with dawn. Very impressive indeed, so it was. And more than a little bit sad.
Afterwards, some kip, coffees, a walk up a hill, and back to Edinburgh via a stop off to buy some summer holiday claes. Holidays, here we come.
