Morro Bay

Time to pack up and move on - though firstly I read some of the LA Times which included an excellent article on the continuing need for Mexican migrant workers for the Californian agricultural sector. And also their exploitation by rogue employers. Not so dissimilar to East Europeans in farms in Britain.
And a big obituary of Greg Allman.
We then visited the Santa Barbara Mission, looking beautiful in the sunshine with the Jacarandas in full bloom.
So, up the 1/101 to Morro Bay. And of course Memorial weekend brings out the art fairs. And where there's an art fair, the wallet is loosened - just what we needed - wind chimes made from old cutlery. The cutlery shaper said that Morro always has the same climate - blue skies and 64F. A woman beside us said, yeah, when it's not foggy. Lucky today then. What a cool little place - folksy tourism, pavement cafes, and a bar bathed in warm sunshine overlooking the estuary and the rock.
One night only though - the Big Sur north of here is closed due to a landslip so it's north inland tomorrow for the last couple of nights.
