Holiday!

We came down to South Devon today for a few days.
Along with every other person in the universe!!
Oh my God, what a journey!! We left at about 11am (going for the early start. And failing as usual!!) and got there at about 7pm.
A journey that should take about three and a half hours. Uuugghhhhhh!!!
We did make a day of it on the M5 stopping at several of the many, many services along the way! For food and drink and goodies.
We remembered as we were packing last night that our double air mattress has a puncture and had planned to go to Halfords in Swindon en route to get another. Don't get me started on why we didn't go via Swindon. Mr K and I generally get on well but not when he chooses to rely on a machine to get from A to B.
Then I want to divorce him.
Just saying.
The machine-that-must-be-obeyed decided that we needed to turn off the lovely fast A420 and head off cross country back to Witney and then for a lovely tootle through the Cotswolds for hours before joining the M5 even further north which gave us longer to enjoy the seventy miles of stop start traffic jams!
I took it all with my usual calm, reasonable, sunny good-naturedness.
Mr K is so lucky!!
I had planned to go to Halfords at Exeter for the camping beds but WHSmith at Taunton Deane Services had some so we bought those instead!
We love Services!!!
We crossed into Dartmouth on the tiny car ferry and finally made it to our campsite with just enough time to get the tent up before it got dark.
The campsite is brilliant. Just a big field with lovely views and a couple of sheds in the corner with compost toilets and sinks. Fabulous!!
