Poppies (Tuesday 31st May 2016)

Not quite as spectacular as the oriental poppies I have blipped recently, but these are wild poppies that have sprung up in my front yard, just outside the front door. I didn't get far as it was cold, grey and raining, but I enjoyed the raindrops on the poppy leaves under the dark skies.

Incidentally, the oriental poppies were grown from cuttings from my next door neighbour, May, who in turn got hers, if I remember correctly, from me, when they grew in the centre of my garden beneath my Sycamore Maple.
