Rosie

Sitting for three and a half hours in a hot bus on another glorious day is not ideal, but it was the only way I was going to meet up in Glasgow with the West Highland Way walker and hand over the cardigan.

Eldest daughter and I had an assignation with her and Glasgow daughter in Princes Square, the restaurant that is so popular with east coasters on their day out in the big smoke.

It is good to have at least some of the daughters together in the one place and we managed a good chinwag with much laughter.

Two year old Ewan was there too but was kept busy with his tuck box and behaved impeccably. Nina was at school but was overheard telling a friend that her aunt was coming to stay for two nights, but that she was very strict; two daughters and two different ways of parenting.

My extra image, a rough incongruous sign in Princes Square outside the Tinder Box Café, appealed to my sense of the ridiculous.
