Putting Down the Tent

It only seems like five minutes since we put up the tent but this morning it was time to take it down again!
It always takes hours and we're never very organised about it but it got done eventually. As ever the roll-on-the-tent-to-get-all-the-air-out was lots of fun!!
Less fun for Mr K was waking up in a collapsed, crumpled heap of poles and canvas and discovering that there's a reason you should buy camping beds in camping shops rather than stationary shops at motorway services!
At least  that's his story rather than the possibility that he weighs more than the maximum 110kg that the bed can support!!!!!
After we'd stuffed everything back in the car we headed to Mr A's for a couple of hours tea and chatting before setting off for home. The Little Misses drew some lovely pictures for Grandad-by-the-Sea and he gave them some pocket money. Everyone was happy!!
We stopped in Dartmouth on the way and had delicious fish and chips and ice cream. It was just beautiful sitting in the park in the sunshine listening to the busker singing away. Perfect!
We got the ferry back across the estuary and headed for the motorway. The journey home was completely trouble free - amazing for a Bank Holiday evening. We got home at about 7pm, put all the laundry on, unpacked all the food, washed up the camping pans, plates and bowls (because I had forgotten to take washing up liquid and cold water alone wasn't really up to the job!!)
Feeling very smug and pleased with ourselves we packed the Little Misses off to bed and settled down to Game of Thrones.
I said it last time we went to Devon (almost two years ago) that we really must go more often.
We really must!!!
