Shades of blue

Last weekend I went down to the Orari river mouth.  Today I went to the coast near there.  The colours were decidedly different.

Mind you this gives the illusion of a lovely summer's day which couldn't be more wrong.  It was clear I guess, and bright at times, by my goodness it was cold.  I'm sure it didn't get above 10 deg C all day.  I just drove back from a meeting in Timaru and my car kept dinging to tell me that the temperature had dropped below 0 and that I must watch for ice - and it was only 9.30pm!

I guess it's going to be a cold night then.
