Welcome to the 21st century

This is another episode in the long-running saga of the redevelopment of downtown Lézignan. The excavations in the Place Cabrié are finally finished, but there is still no sign of the grand designs that were due to be complete in 2015. The new Médiathèque, however, is only about 9 months behind schedule, although admittedly it hasn't opened yet. I do like its very atypical graphic look though; it certainly changes Lézignan's down-at-heel image! And was a good way of avoiding yet another market blip. We bought artichokes, asparagus, apricots, cherries (2 euros a kilo!), and strawberries.
