Geocache Poodle!

Hello Blipfriends!  

Mum and I have a new hobby, it seems!  Alice, my best blipfriend, is an adventurous and brave geocacher, so I told Mum that we should also start geocaching!  And she said OK!  Yay!!

So here I am with our very first cache!  We found this today very close to home, along the railway line and near the lakes where we like to walk. We've walked past this spot many times and never would have thought that there was a secret place hiding a treasure!  

For those of you who don't know what geocaching is, it's a GPS based treasure hunt. It started in 2010 and now there are something like 3 million caches all over the world. We can find where they are with a special app on Mum's phone. We follow the directions on the app, but still have to do some searching when we are near. There are sometimes hints. Once the cache is found we log our visit online and also by signing a logbook in the container. Some caches are really big and some are micro-sized. Sometimes there are little trinkets inside that you can swap if you have brought one to leave behind.
