St Barnabas' Chapel

Today we took a half day tour around NI. This chapel was consecrated in 1880 and is listed as a world heritage site. Thinking of the difficulty getting any building materials and the limited supply of labour this is pretty special. The pews face inwards and are crafted from Kauri ( from NZ) and NI pine. the ends are decorated in pearl shell in Melanesian design. There are beautiful stained glass windows and marble floor.

For dinner we joined Mike and Anita from the central coast and Stella and Ed from Bendigo. They are holidaying here and we keep on running into them. They are good company.
