Early start.

I have got used to the later, longer Monday walks of late which have involved very pleasant refreshments at the end but today is the start of the exam marking period for me so I opted for the 7.30 walk today.

It was pretty grey and misty with much dampness left from yesterday's rain but it wasn't actually raining which was a bonus.

There were a number of interesting things on our route along the Two sides of Wilsden walk. Young cows in the fields; pretty pink Hawthorne blossom; poppies in gardens and this selection of wild flowers and grasses at the side of the lane.

We did also come across a large bull on our return route but managed to avoid it.

Not sure how much I will get out and about over the next few days but the weather isn't looking too promising anyway.
