If you can't beat them...

Looking towards Keswick.

At lunch time Clickychick suggested, as the weather didn't look promising for cutting grass and the other gardening jobs, we visit a new (to us) garden centre which was likely to have a particular plant she was looking for.  It seemed like a good idea so off we set.

About a mile from the garden centre it started to rain.  By the time we pulled up in the car park it was raining heavily.  No problem, we had two golf umbrellas in the car.  BY the time we made it as far as the poly-tunnel and located the plant the heavens had opened.  We opted to have a coffee hoping that the rain would ease and we could enjoy the outdoor parts of the centre.

Just before we ordered CC said "I have left my purse in the car do you have your wallet?"  "No its in my other trousers!  I will go out to the car for your purse."  Off I went avoiding the 2 inch deep puddles no purse in the car.  We got back to the car and by searching pockets glove compartments etc came up with just enough cash for the plant and two coffees.  BY now it was almost impossible to get into the cafe with dry feet.

After the coffee and purchase of the plant we set off still in pouring rain heading home.  After we passed Keswick the rain eased and by Scales the roads were dry so we pulled onto the old road and took some blips.

N.B.  Back blipped 6th June
