For the patient

I'm glad to report that Mum had a good night's sleep. She does have pain in her hand, so far this has been fairly well controlled by paracetamol and codeine. She was very, very wobbly first thing, but her strength has improved during the day.

I insisted that she stayed in bed today - shock to the system and all that.

Margret came late morning to see how the patient was doing and brought this beautiful rose from her garden.  It is exquisite.

I've continued to pot up a few tubs and pottered around the house doing this and that. So the day has passed quite quickly.
