Surveying his territory....

I spent a couple of hours out working on the yard--pulling those never ending weeds--and there were 2 cardinals just singing their hearts out! It was beautiful! What could I do but go get the camera--one was on the wire behind our house, and this one was up on top of the electrical pole at the back edge of our neighbor's yard. I got pictures of them both, but I liked this one, as he was obviously happy up there surveying his territory, plus I liked all the shapes of the electrical equipment.
Off to my brother-in-laws' birthday party--should be fun, as most of Tom's family plans on being there & it's been awhile since we've seen them!  It will be great to catch up on all the news!  :)
