An ordinary life....

Drive By Shooting...

Passed my beloved Arria on our way to Glasgow today (and on the way home :)  Sadly there was no time to stop and visit her properly so I had to be content with snapping her from the car.  Hoping to go and take proper photographs of her sometime in the next few weeks.

Spent a pleasant hour (we only argued had an intense discussion once) in Farrow and Ball trying to chose the paint colours for our kitchen cupboard doors and the island.  The sales assistant was very helpful and we left with only three testers.  Result.  The choice at the moment is Wimborne White for the cupboard doors and Purbeck stone ( a pale grey) for the Island.

From there we went to KI to speak to Helen, the kitchen designer, about worktops.  She showed us lots but we homed in on three and she's kindly given us the samples home with us, which is great as we can see them next to the floor tiles when the samples of those arrive next week.

It's all coming together and I am mega excited and relieved!

In celebration of Father's Day tomorrow we are just about stuff ourselves with fillet steak, home made chips and salad washed down with a nice Shiraz.  Be back for a blip catch up after that.  Assuming the wine doesn't put me to sleep!!!
