All the Grandchildren

We were all up early today as we were heading to Grandma’s 80th birthday celebrations, and had a three hour car journey to get there. At least the weather was a bit brighter.  It was lovely to see Grandma (TT’s mother), and all the family.  BB loved meeting up with all his (big) cousins – BB is the youngest grandchild. He was dressed almost identically to his cousin P, which didn’t go unnoticed.  Another cousin, H, had just arrived back on Friday, from two years in Australia, so there was much to catch up on – especially his sky-diving exploits.  Everyone remembered that BB was just a tiny baby when Grandma was 70 – ten years ago!  We also did a day trip to the 70th celebrations – which  nearly finished me off!

After a  lovely lunch, we headed back to Grandma and Grandad’s house where the celebrations continued.  We took BB for a walk round by the river, otherwise we would have spent the whole day sitting down, eating and drinking.

We eventually got home around 10pm.  We were all tired and weary – but it was a lovely day.

Here is Grandma surrounded by her nine grandchildren.  It’s amazing that we managed to get them all in the same place at the same time.
