A pied stilt or two

Went out early for my run this morning, and it was good I did. Although very strong winds made running at times more of an effort, it was pleasant for July and there was enough sun getting through the clouds to sprinkle the water with reflected light.

The gulls were scolding the dog walkers (and me) but didn't get into the diving at passers by. I saw one or two herons. And (almost by themselves) these two stilts. An attempt to crop out the blurred bird absconding rapidly, resulted in the same issue as yesterday. No EXIF data. Bizarre.

Just look at it large and try to ignore the imperfection.

Another report writing day. Hiding inside away from the rain battering the windows, driven by the wind that has almost totally covered the sand of the beach with seaweed.

The floorboards damaged by the burst pipe will be replaced in about ten days, and that will be the renovations and extras (always the extras; fence and shed, and ...) all done. In time for the birthday of marvellous S, who so deserves all this.
