Everyday I Write The Book

Space to reflect

Didn't have such a good day today in terms of fatigue; in fact the whole day was a slog. But we did sit in an amazing coffee shop in Stow for about an hour and a half, all on our own, talking. If you are ever in the Cotswolds visit The New England Coffee House - It is an old building with about eight little rooms on four floors - this is the room at the top. The staff are lovely and it is like a cross between shabby chic and Harry Potter.

We drove through Bourton-on-the-Water and straight out again; it looked like a total tourist trap. The place was crawling with coach parties. But driving around the back roads we saw some beautiful scenery and Cotswold stone villages.

Very thoughtful day - we finally had space to talk and concluded there are no magic bullets for what I am going through. Bit of a list: medication, adjustments at work, yoga, diet, exercise, counselling. This is a lifestyle change (probably overdue). My immediate concern is the next month ..
