Bowood 2016 #23 (Sunday 3rd July 2016)

Although I had been planning to visit the Waterfront at Marlborough, having left it rather too late I instead ended up back at Bowood. I called in at the Tractor Ted Little Farm first and saw Bob and Bertie (the pygmy goats) and the alpacas Echo and Izzy, who were in a different paddock and were looking quite different. In fact I wondered if they were a different pair as the white one didn't appear to be pregnant anymore. However when I asked Lucy, the lady in charge, she pointed out that they had been sheared! Izzy still had a fringe covering her eyes, however.

I have taken so many pictures at Bowood, and blipped so many of them as well as linking to all the albums, that some blip viewers may be beginning to feel that they know the place without ever having been there, so it is probably redundant to say that this (and the Extra) was taken in the terraced gardens in front of Bowood House.

I wandered half way down Lake Field and had a look over the Lake, which was quietly beautiful, with the geese lazing on the water and a couple of grebes diving and surfacing. The swans and herons were not in view. I walked back the way I had come with a burning desire for ice cream, which I met when I got home.
