Dossen

A leisurely bike ride today. We cycled just a little way into Santec and stopped for coffee. It was a hot day cooled off by a strong north easterly breeze. After a while we carried on to Dossen, which is a huge flat beach with the Ile de Siec off shore which at low tide can be walked to. It seems to be a great beach for surfing and today the kite surfers were out in force as well as sand yachts and kite buggies doing great speeds across the flat sand. We had a galette and a beer in the beach cafe before taking a walk on the beach.

My blip is a grand looking house on the edge of the bay and you might notice the covered walkway up to the top floor which seems to be an open area but I have no idea what its purpose might be.

In the evening Roger and Jane, who are in France with their caravan, cooked a delicious barbecue meal without a sausage or burger in sight. A marvellous meal which ran into 5 courses I think. Well done to them!
