Wool on the Wall

Today Greenhead hosted Wool on the Wall, a day devoted to all things fleecy and wooly and knitted and felted. There were spinners in gazebos on the Millennium Green, sheep in pens by the roadside and crafters in the Greenhead Hotel.

Here is Magali Pettier, the Shooting Director/Producer of Addicted to Sheep. We saw this wonderful film at the cinema in Hexham a few months ago. It was a labour of love for the film maker, who had hardly any budget for the film and lived with a tenant farming family in order to shoot it. She did all the filming and the sound and aimed to capture as realistic an account of their lives as she could.

The film is available for community showings and I can highly recommend it.  Mum and I had a long chat to her today.

We enjoyed seeing the excellent workmanship of others and discussing how they produced their work.

This afternoon was devoted to Wimbledon. What excellent tennis and well done to Andy Murray. I'm sure we will see more of Milos Raonic in the years to come.

Now its time to turn my attention back to yesterday's chicken and make tonight's meal from it. At least I don't have to worry about cooking it!!
