Solace: Day 14

Hurray! We saw a kingfisher!

In the quiet of early morning, as Chippy & I had a cuppa out on the stern deck, we saw a flash of blue coming towards us. It flew passed and disappeared off down the canal! For a fortnight I have looked out for one every day and today was the day, our last full day on the canal. Not a blip to prove it like last year, but never mind.

My holiday journal wouldn't be complete without a shot of the Solace crew:-

This is us!

The Man, Chippy, Ash (not watching the birdie, watching the sarnie!) me, The Mother. Just making the excuse that our boat is temporarily without mains electric for hair drying so everyday has been a bad hair-day for me!

After the nice picnic lunch we carried on to the marina where we packed up our luggage and cleaned the boat ready for a quick get-a-way tomorrow morning.

Just one more in the Solace series to blip before we leave tomorrow.
