Moonfire

Even though we were dog tired, it was another morning awake at 4.42 this time..... hub woke up not long after too, so it was tea for two at 5.15, my turn this time. I put the dishwasher on whilst making the tea. The tea seemed to work again, we both got back to sleep eventually.....woke up at a reasonable hour finally :-)

We've had a day at home, busy doing household stuff, bed linen changes, more laundry.....mattress turning! Hub did some of the ironing, picked enough gooseberries for me to make a pie! He also noticed that the blackbirds had managed to get in under his protective netting, and they've stripped his red currant bushes completely of every single little red jewel, and believe me, there were hundreds!!! He's not a happy bunny!!

After lunch I made the gooseberry pie and prepared some chicken tikka with a vegetable curry and rice for dinner.

The weather perked up later this afternoon, so we did some deadheading and watering. I blipped this dahlia Moonfire....it has to be the most vibrant coloured flower we have in our garden!!

After dinner we decided to watch a film for a change, Everest....we really enjoyed it!!

Looks like we are in for a few days of warm weather from tomorrow, finally :-)
