Garden helper

The decision was made last night that if there was treadmill running to be done today then it needed to happen fairly early before I was awake enough to persuade myself out of the idea. So, the bestest friend picked me up at half eight and we ran, walked and trekked uphill for 45 minutes. 5km done and not completely knackered at the end of it.

Then a fair bit of the morning spent getting things done in the garden - cutting the grass on a Saturday morning rather than the usual Sunday afternoon and finally potting up some supermarket pinks. Bailey was confined to the house at certain points, including when the sweeping brush was required.

A bit of a snooze this afternoon before heading out this evening to the Head's retirement do. A real mix of people and a nice atmosphere with a characteristic speech. It's the first of three leaving dos over the next week but the other two will be lower key. A late night is definitely going to require a Sunday lie-in.
