Canterbury

Canterbury today with my lovely mummy for a matinee performance of Present Laughter. Written by Noel Coward in 1943 and set in 1939 this play proves that words stand the test of time, not to mention a good mix of eccentric characters portrayed by talented actors.

Samuel West (Howards End, Notting Hill, Mr Selfridge) starred in the lead supported by Phyllis Logan and Zoe Boyle both of Downton Abbey fame. The comic timing was faultless, the set and costumes beautiful. A wonderful performance.
